The second part of the “Going Solo” series is live over on Patreon.
The title track from Pleasure Hides Your Needs underwent possibly the most drastic transformation from the studio to the solo version. It is actually quite a departure from the vast majority of The Royal Ritual’s music.
It is available for all tiers of Patreon members, including free.
Here’s something special for the season. After making their debut on the merch stand during the October shows — and selling out almost immediately — TRR engraved hip flasks are now officially available for pre-order.
They come in two beautifully engraved styles, designed to hold your Christmas dram with a bit of ritualistic flair.
A fresh batch is now in production, and all pre-orders will ship in time for Christmas. If you missed them at the shows, now’s your chance to grab one.
After a successful summer and autumn of shows in the USA, Canada, and back in the UK, it is time to retreat and regroup.
Thank you to all who showed up, sang along, and brought all the energy. We are already plotting our next route to come and spend some evenings with you.
In the interim there are a number of behind-the-scenes journeys to share, starting with GOING SOLO – an exploration into how pieces from MARTYRS and Pleasure Hides Your Needs evolved from their current arrangements as we perform them together, into solo pieces.
This was an endeavour born out of necessity in order to be able to perform at Infest2025, but the results were so satisfying that some of the pieces have found a permanent spot in the regular live set.
The good news? The first is FREE! Just head over to Patreon – no login required.
Just after our first performance at the beautiful Lodge Room, Los Angeles, Brian from Void Signal sat us down to talk about our experience of opening up Glōm Fest…
That’s a wrap for Glōm Fest 2025. What a ride. Thank you to everyone who came and enjoyed the evenings with us and the rest of the artists. New connections have been made, and friendships have been forged.
We hope to be back on the West Coast of North America soon, but for now here are some images from the different venues. More shots are over in the Gallery.

Next up is Coventry THIS FRIDAY. Necroscope is a long running Goth and Industrial night at The Arches, and we’re really looking forward to playing our first show in the city!
Thank you to everyone who showed up to the solo show atInfest over the weekend. It was an honour to be asked to return for the first year at the festival’s new home in Manchester Academy. The live album launch was a blast!

Didn’t manage to grab a copy at the show? There are still copies of the limited and standard editions of the record in the shop…
Now that the buzz of Infest2025 is yielding to real life, the next chance to get the buzz back for The Royal Ritual is at GLŌM FEST – hitting up Los Angeles, San Francisco, Portland, and Vancouver this September.
Live At Infest is released today on vinyl and digital formats.
It’s a meaningful moment, as I also return to Infest’s new home at Manchester Academy to perform a solo set for the first time. The show will explore new arrangements and structures of familiar songs, presenting them in a different light.
The album captures that live energy of what TRR brought to Infest as a duo, and now it is available to experience in your own space, whether on vinyl or digitally.
Revisit Pews In A Pandemic, captured at Infest 2024 — a milestone for the band… just three weeks before the first ever solo appearance at Infest 2025.
Yes — the rumours are true. Today’s surprise announcement from the Infest camp confirms it: the official launch event for Live at Infest will take place on August 15th at the festival’s bold new home —Manchester Academy.

There’s been a steady increase in requests for an official store — along with interest in more apparel and merchandise options.
After some long hours behind the scenes, the new shop is now up and running.
We understand that many of you want to support independent artists directly — but Bandcamp isn’t everyone’s preferred platform. Whilst The Royal Ritual remains active there, this new shop offers an alternative with more flexibility.
Apparel is now fulfilled globally, which means better stock availability and faster turnaround times. Physical music formats (vinyl, cassette, etc.) are still shipped directly from TRR HQ, but digital downloads are delivered instantly in a variety of formats — from MP3 to high-resolution lossless files.
After being in the archives for a few months. our milestone performance at Infest Festival is getting the wax treatment for you to relive the show, or experience it for the first time.
It’s coming out via AnalogueTrash in association with Ritual Reverb just before the 2025 instalment of the festival, and is available for pre-order now!
There’s a special edition with a signed print, as well as a tiny handful of test pressings…
Fancy seeing some of the action?
We’ll be on the road in the late summer/autumn. See you there!
